Free Athlete Assessment in Raleigh
Ready to See Where Your Athlete Stands?
Book a free athlete assessment. We measure strength, balance, and power so your coach can build a plan that fits how your athlete actually moves.
How It Works
Every DiamondFit athlete starts the same way, with a free assessment. When it’s done, you’ll have printouts of the numbers, a starting level, and a clear next step.
Complete Athlete Assessment
We run your athlete through a series of athletic assessments: power, movement, explosiveness and strength, to get baseline data on where they are today. That data is also what sets their starting level and the program they'll follow.
Report of Current Metrics
Real numbers on how your athlete moves and produces power. This is where we highlight deficiencies and find the movement issues holding them back. You'll receive printouts of your athlete's data, and your coach works from the same numbers.
The Plan To Get Them There
Combining their goals with their metrics, we build the program that gets them there. Your coach maps it out with you, so you leave with a clear path forward and a date to start.
What We Learn About Your Athlete
The assessment takes one hour, and every athlete finishes it with their own baseline data. It is where our coaches get the numbers every plan is built from.

How Much Power They Produce
And how evenly, left side against right. An imbalance a coach can't see standing across the room shows up here in numbers.

How Well They Move
Dexterity, flexibility and stability through the positions their sport puts them in. This is usually where the thing that's holding them back is hiding.

How Explosive They Are
What they can produce off the floor, and how quickly they can do it again. It's the clearest single read on where an athlete is right now.

Where They're Strong Already
Grip, broad jump, rotational power. Knowing what's already working matters as much as knowing what isn't.
Developmental to Advanced
We start athletes around ten, at a coach's discretion, and the assessment sets where they begin, developmental through advanced, rather than their grade or their age.
Athletes at every level train in the same class. Each one is following their own program at their own pace, built off their own numbers, so a first-year athlete and a senior with four years of training can be in the same session and both be doing exactly the right work.
Athletes of every level work side by side in the same room. They train, encourage one another and their program progresses as they gain strength and confidence.
How An Assessment Helps You
It gives our coaches real numbers on your athlete's strengths and on the gaps, so the program is built on what's actually true about them.
For you, that means the plan is specific from day one, progress is measured against a real starting point, and nobody is asking your athlete to do work their body isn't ready for.
- Tailored training recommendations based on your results.

What Is Proteus?
Proteus is a training machine that uses 3D resistance to track and train movement in every direction.
It's also what your athlete is re-tested on later, so progress is measured the same way every time.
Questions Parents Ask
The five that come up most before a first visit. There are more on the full FAQ page.
What Happens at the Free Assessment?
Three things, in one appointment. A coach screens how your athlete moves and talks through what they're working toward. We measure how they produce force and power. Then we build the plan: where they start. Our training runs from developmental to advanced, how many days a week, and what we'd work on first. Book a slot online.
How Much Does It Cost?
It depends on your athlete, which is why we don't publish one number. What they need comes down to their sport and how often makes sense for where they are in it, and we won't know that until we've seen them move. The assessment is free, and you'll leave knowing what we'd recommend and what it costs.
What Age Can My Child Start?
It's coach's discretion, generally around ten. There's no hard cutoff, because two ten-year-olds can be years apart in what their body is ready to handle: what matters is balance, coordination and whether they can hold form through the basic movements. If your athlete is a little younger and you're wondering, bring them in and let a coach see them move. There's no upper limit either.
How Many Athletes Are in a Session?
Between 3 and 12, depending on how popular that class time is. Small enough that a coach sees every rep, which is the whole reason we cap it.
Do You Train My Child's Sport?
Almost certainly. We started in baseball, and today we train all athletes. Strength and quality movement translate to every sport. What changes is how we program around each one's season and demands.
